November Sneaks
Ooh, the November kit was a blast to create with!! My usual process for pulling layouts together is to spend one evening deciding what photographs to use, and to loosely pull items together... Then a couple more evenings completing each project. Well, this month I scrapped the night away and completed 3 layouts and a few cards:) I think I was able to use just about every piece of patterned paper in the kit, it is fab! I would love to know your favorite parts of the November kit.

October Thrills
So, one last layout from me from the October kit. I used the sketch included with the kit for this layout, sort of for both pages! My pictures came out dark (I know why, the wrong paper was selected in my print box) so I may reprint them. But I think I finally have my Mt. Princeton pages from 2010 finished for the year!
Would love to see what you did with the Echo Park papers! Be sure and upload your projects in the gallery!

Antique Your Own Papers
Why not create your own papers and embellishments using newspapers? You can even use some articles that you have cut out to keep. This is a great way to incorporate them onto your layouts. You can do this and I'll show you how.
First, gather your supplies:
You need some newspaper or articles that are special to you. (You may want to use some scrap newsprint first to practice on) You also need Mod Podge, brown craft paint and a paint brush (I used foam).
First of all, take the newspaper you want to use and glue it down onto some scrap cardstock to give it some thickness.
Next, pour out some Mod Podge onto a paper plate or something and drop just a tiny bit of brown craft paint in it.
Mix it together good with your brush.
Now, brush it over your newspaper in very thin layers
until you have covered all that you wish.
And because I am impatient, I used my heat gun to dry it. Worked fantastically and quickly too.
You could certainly let it dry by itself if you wish (and are patient). I love the finished look and feel to it! Now you can use it to make flowers, punch butterflies (or whatever) and make mattes.
You can also cut out the parts of the articles that you want to include on your layout.
Here's my finished layout.
I used pieces of the newspaper that had news from our school to make my mattes and embellishments.
Then I used the specific articles that had my children's names listed in them.
I love the idea of having a bit of history on my layout using the newspapers. Because Mod Podge is acid-free, I know that the newspaper print will be here for a long time to come and now with the tinting technique, it looks like it already has been!!
If you decide to give this try, leave me a link to yours in the comment section. I'd love to see it!

A Late Evening Post
I kept the layout fairly simple and linear (nothing new there!) I did cut off the scallops from the shaped paper and used them as the border on the bottom of the page. I wanted to be sure and use all I could!
Can't wait to see what you did with this half of the kit! Hope you are enjoying some nice fall weather - it's going to be rather chilly tomorrow!

ANNOUNCING!!!!!
I had about 15 of you who were participating a lot and I hope you enjoyed yourself. This is the first major challenge that we've done. I'd love to get more people playing, but for all you ladies who really went after it, it's going to pay off.
Now, I was all set to do a big video and have my first Sussies video posted here to the blog. I was actually kind of excited about it. I was going to show you the names being put into the hat and someone (my son or daughter) drawing the name of the winner out of the hat.
But, after tallying all the points, the decision simply had to be changed....
I promised that the person with the most points would receive a 3 month subscription, didn't I?
Well, I never accounted for the fact that we might have a tie!!!
SO!!! The two 3-month subscriptions will be going to.....
DRUM ROLL PLEASE....
Rebecca Kvenvolden and Anet Tietjen!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
You'll receive the October, November, and December kits for FREE!!!
Email me your addresses and I'll get the October kit sent your way ASAP!!!
Now, all of you other ladies who accumulated over 100 points, don't you worry. I promised that I wanted you all to have a chance to win as well....
There were three additional ladies who had over 100 points.
So, my initial thoughts were to put those three names into a hat and draw for another 3 month sub prize. But it would feel so bad to get so close and not win. So I hope it's OK with you ladies that I'm changing this at the last minute. Instead, I want all of you to gain from this. So I'm splitting up the THIRD unexpected 3 month subscription and giving each of you a free kit (and I'll throw in a free add-on!!).
Just email me your addy (for those of you who are subscribers, I'm assuming that I'll just do the November kit as your freebie??)
Congratulations to everyone and thank you to all of you for playing along!
I hope you had fun!!!
Life Is Good!
For me, Life Is Good because he is a part of it! Now it's your turn...tell me what makes your life good? Do you have these papers and what do you plan to use them for?

As an autoship club, once you sign up, your kits will be automatically shipped to you each month until you tell us to stop sending them. You can skip whatever months you would like to skip. There will be deadlines - you will have to tell me by the end of the previous month if you want to skip, but you'll have control over which kits you get!
The add-ons will work the same way. You will be able to sign up for them as autoship as well. There will most likely be leftovers for you to purchase separately, too, but if you want them to come every month automatically, you got it! (And it will be at a set price no matter how much the add-on - obviously cheaper than the add-on purchased separately...)
One Month Kit Purchase (No subscription) $33.95 (plus s&h)

Vegas Baby!
It will be a quick one though - it's been a ridiculously hectic week here and I didn't get nearly as much done as I was hoping too. The first half of the week someone was home sick (including me) and then the second half was a whirlwind trying to get things organized!
So I'm behind on my layouts (although all my pictures are printed!) for this month but I did manage to get one done for the sketch challenge! Here's my take on it!
I thought it was interesting that Telah and I used a lot of the same papers! Can't wait to see what you do with it!

Sketch Challenge
This sketch was going to be the September sketch challenge, but it's coming at you a little late. But that's ok, because better late than never.
Now we would love to see your layouts using this sketch. And best of all,
Once you get it done, add your name with your blog or gallery address
and leave us a comment ;-)
