Hope you are having a fun weekend! We were going to be moving dirt and rocks and all tha fun stuff but the ground is too wet and muddy so I had a chance to get my first layout scanned in with the July kit! Oh My! You won't be disappointed with this kit!
I actually got the kit right after I got back from vacation and have been itching to get started playing with it but I've been so sidetracked! I had joined this photography website and am awed and inspired by these women. It made me want to learn to really edit my photos - so I finally started and completed the photo editing class I bought from the Jessica Sprague site ages ago. I then proceeded to attempt to edit the photos on this layout and Sadie's hand is completely blown out on one of the pictures. Sigh. There is just so much to learn! Layers, masks, color correction.... but it's kinda fun playing with all that stuff!
I thought I'd give you a quick sneak of the layout I put together last night (and since I usually take much longer to put together a layout, you must know this kit is awesome!)
And here's the blown hand :) I tried to cover it up a little bit LOL
I haven't had a chance (isn't it amazing how busy things are when you get back from vacation?) to work on Leah's challenge but I hope to soon. I hope you get a chance too as well!
Have a great weekend!

A Challenge of 3's!
Happy Monday Everyone. Today I have a challenge for you! I saw a variation of this challenge on another site and thought I would borrow it. You may have heard of the power of 3 when it comes to scrapbooking. Three elements often provide balance and a good design. We are going to use this concept for this challenge. Here are the 3 requirements:
3 pictures
3 word title
3 textures
Here is my example:
This is a simple page that incorporates the requirements. My 3 textures are the plastic puffy thickers (our, pumpkin), felt thickers (sweet), and textured cardstock (my scalloped edges).
I hope you'll join us in this challenge and be sure to post your creations in our Sussie Gallery. We want to see what you come up with!

July Add-Ons!!!
Hi everyone! I'm back from Destin, Florida! The trip was heavenly! A week with just the four of us and hardly any plans. We hit the beach every day and enjoyed family time together!!!
A pic from one evening...
Anyway, the bad news was that I couldn't access my website via the hotel web portal. So... I am just updating the website tonight with the July Add-Ons. No extras this month - although a few cute ones from previous months are still around! There are a few of the July add-ons available! Here's a quick shot of the add-ons...
Also, I thought I would have one last embellishment for the July kit waiting for me when I got home today. But it wasn't here - so I'm trying to track it down. As soon as I have that, I'll post the July full reveal. For now, you'll have to drool a bit over these few sneak peeks!!!
ENJOY - LARA

Our Big Weekend
We celebrated our little girl's 1st birthday this weekend, so I wanted to share some tidbits from her party. I have been planning and gathering goodies for months. Otherwise, I knew it wouldn't get done!Grandma made her outfit, and surprised us with the end result.
I cut down a piece of patterned paper from the June kit to fit in my printer. Then I trimmed and backed with cardstock. I will now pop it into her scrapbook as a memento.
I tried to make roses to go on top of the cupcakes, but they didn't turn out. So I went with some scrapbooking flowers to top them. Not edible- but much better.
Everyone have a super week!

Hey y'all! Happy Friday! :-)
Are you excited about the June Sussies kit? Maybe some of you already have it and have started playing! If so, you need to upload your projects to the new gallery so we can all "ooh & aahh"!!
As for me- sadly, I am not scrapping much at all lately- but I am so excited to share with you why! My husband and I just bought our first home!!! After 12 years of renting, we finally became homeowners YESTERDAY! We have been packing and moving all week and most of my scrapbook stuff is inaccessible. {although I do have my Sussies kit seperate in case I need some scrapping therapy!}
Anyway, we bought an old farm-style house built in 1911- and I am soooo in love! It has plenty of room for our whole family, a huge yard and I get a huge scrap studio!!!!! Yippee! Here is a pic:
thanks for letting me share my excitement with you- have a FAB weekend!!
And don't forget to upload your Sussies to our new gallery!
blessings~ Zoa

Blog Updates???
HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!
I have seen some comments here saying that they would love for the blog to updated more frequently.
At this point, we have each of the designers scheduled to post on the blog once a month - which equates to about twice a week. It's funny because I always tend to be late when it's time for me to update. But, when I sit down to post, I realize how super-easy it is to update!
Now, actually having a layout or example or something ready - that's a different story. For me, scrap time is always listed on my To Do list, but always gets pushed back when it comes down to it. I know that a lot of you can relate! I have this great scrap room that I hardly ever use for scrapping. Instead, most of my scrapping happens at crops!
So, I know I need to make time to scrap and prioritize that so I have examples.
In the meantime, I'd love to hear WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE! What things are cool to see on a blog? Layouts? Examples? Sneak Peeks? Stories? Pictures? PLEASE COMMENT ON THIS POST AND TELL US WHAT IS FUN TO SEE!! WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR????
Today. Just to give you something different to look at, I'm posting a pic of my kitchen. You may have heard that we're at the start of a kitchen remodel. This is one of the reasons I don't have time for scrapping! It started on Tuesday and they pulled everything out this week! I'll show you the 'Before' picture and the 'Current' picture!
It's hard to see in the picture below, but that silly dropped ceiling is GONE!!! It's such a dramatic change! I'm very excited!

June Kit Challenge
Hopefully you have your June kit by now. If not, it should be arriving shortly! If you haven't purchased it, what are you waiting for????
To start off the month of June and because this month features Bella Blvd's Sweet Celebration line, I thought it would be fun to do a card challenge!!! All those yummy stickers on the die cut sheet are perfect for quick handmade cards! You should have tons left over even after doing a couple of great layouts with the kit.
My plan was to have a sample card to show you all. I was going to sit down and make a few, but GUESS WHAT! We're remodeling our kitchen and, as usual, time got away from me when it comes to scrapping. TERRIBLE, I know!
So, you're on your own for creativity! LOL!
Make a card, go to our gallery HERE , upload a pic of your card to the 'June 2009 Card Making Challenge' album, and you will be entered into a drawing for an RAK. The RAK will be two 8x8 paper pads - perfect for mini-albums, matting, and, YOU GUESSED IT, CARD MAKING! You will have until the end of June to upload your photos!!
Have fun! I hope you enjoy the June kit!!!
