Using Up That May Kit
Hello All! I hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day!
Today I just want to share a few more projects with you using the May kit. There is always plenty of product left in the kits to make more things after I complete my 4 layouts for the official reveal. You can make a Sussie kit go a long way.
For this first layout I used the My Little Shoebox line. I cut out two of the transparency trees and layered them. I also used a Scallop border punch on this one. Also, sometimes with letters you have to get creative. I had already used the "s" so for this title I used the "z" instead.
And then 2 cards I whipped up with the Shoebox Line also:
Hope you're making the most of that May kit. June's will be at your doorstep before you know it!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!
Well, for us school got out last Thursday and it was a busy, busy week!! Tuesday night we had Sadie's preschool graduation, Wednesday she had a field trip to the zoo, I helped put together the 2nd grade memory books and then went to the 1st grade award ceremony where I helped put the awards in the memory books. I was a bit stressed!! Thursday was supposed to be a water day but as luck would have it, the weather turned icky outside!
I'm so glad school is out for summer! One other awesome thing that happened this week was getting the June kit in the mail!! Oh my is it beautiful! I really wanted to give you a sneak peak of a layout I had finished but I have not yet finished one! I do have a good start on one so I thought I'd give you a few sneaks of it - but it's subject to change! LOL
Luckily I just had a birthday party last weekend so the Bella Blvd. paper was absolutely perfect!
And, now that you can't wait for the reveal, I have a few reminders for you!
1. I know you all know this already, but I just wanted to remind you that the retail value of the kit is at least $36.00 (usually more). And, as a subscriber, you only pay $29.95! I know with the economy the way it is, we're always looking for how to get the best bang for the buck - this is it!
2. We're always looking for guest designers! Be sure to email Lara and let her know you're interested!
3. Don't forget to check out the new Sussies gallery!! (Just a FYI, often the layouts are uploaded by the Design Team prior to the official reveal!!!).
Hope you have some fun plans for Memorial Day and that it either involves scrapping or taking pictures for scrapping!

Where do You Find Inspiration?
I get really excited when that box of scrapping goodies comes to my doorway! Sometimes I already have in mind what type of layouts and subject matter I want to cover even before I get the kit. Other times it is the product that truly inspires me. For June both will be happening.
When I saw June's pattern paper with the cupcakes, I immediately knew that I really wanted to do some kind of compilation of photos from my daughter's first year. Delicious and cute- can't beat that.
Now, the June add on inspired me in a completely different way. The package Jolee's Bubble Gum Embellishment Stickers will be perfect for a layout for my son. When we go grocery shopping he can "earn" a quarter by helping hold coupons and putting groceries in the cart. Sometimes he likes to spend his quarter at the candy machines at the front of the store. Perfect topic matter for a layout!
How do you find your scrapping inspiration? I would love to hear how your ideas form when using Scrapbook Sussies kits!

Apologies and Sneak Peeks!!!
OK.... So if you received the latest newsletter, you would have read that I was leaving last Thursday for Cabo. We were to get back on Sunday. I was going to spend the day Monday getting kits ready to be mailed on Tuesday.
Well, that was all before the Swine Flu hit!! After hours on the phone, we rearranged the plans to go to Phoenix instead. The only catch was that we had to move our trip to leaving on Friday, getting back on Monday. Which meant that Tuesday morning was CRAZY for me, trying to get all the kits ready before my maillady arrives, usually around 1:30 or 2:00. But I did it and got your kits out to you!
But I never got to post on the blog like I meant to. So, here I am, a few days late. The May kit is officially up on the site. You may have actually received your kit already! I hope you like it. After I post here, I'm going to update the website's gallery. In the meantime, see all of their layouts on the Sussies Member Gallery!
Jennifer Halleck picked a winner for her RAK! It was craftasticme! Please email Jennifer with your address so she can send you the goods!
For now, I'll give you all a quick sneak peek of the June kits!!! (They'll be featuring AdornIt Fern and Bella Blvd. Sweet Celebration lines! FUN, BRIGHT COLORS!!!)
There they are!! (FYI - the little Owl is made only for us by Carolee's Creations! It was a special order using their artwork. They had originally planned on making buttons, but were having issues with the manufacturer. So, when I called, they told me they had to cancel the order, but offered to make these epoxy embellishments for us. After doing so, they told me that they weren't making them for anyone else! WOO HOO! Another exclusive Sussies item!!) I know you'll love them.
