April's Guest Designer

This week, I'd like to highlight the Guest Designer that we had for April. OK.. so I'm a little biased.. she's been my best friend for the past 20 years (wow that makes us sound old). AND she's the one that got me started in this wonderful hobby about 5 years ago.

So here she is.. the talented Telah Wrenn :)

** I am a wife and a mother among other things. My husband and I have been married for 14 years and we live in Alabama with our 4 children. Annessa is 10, Andrew is 7, Alex is almost 5 and Amelia is 2. Most of my scrapbook pages revolve around our family of 6. I started scrapping 10 years ago with decorative edge scissors and themed papers. I left the hobby for nearly 5 years and then picked it back up again in 2004. I would say that my addiction "worsened" in 2005 and I've not slowed down since! **

A Spring Mini Book

When I first started scrapbooking, I was really intimidated by 12x12 pages! So, for the first year I primarily made mini books for myself and others. You can't beat creating something and having a gift for that someone special.
About a month ago, I had some friends come into town to watch some baseball spring training games. As a thank you to one of the girls, I wanted to make a little mini showing some pictures. I used items from April's kit... it was a perfect match for the theme!

Oh, I love it when the sun is out and the wind isn't blowing to hard! Don't you? I think this is one of my favorite times of the year with all the trees budding out and the flowers coming up. I'm excited for summer this year!

I thought I'd show you one of the pages I started this weekend with the May kit. Lara wasn't kidding when she said it was packed! I thought I'd show you a peek at one of my pages - I realized when I was scanning it in that I haven't punched out the title yet! So I'm just going to show you the first page...



And just a little tip! Those beautiful little strips are actually stickers! LOL. I didn't realize it until after I was gluing them down! Big oops on my part.

I have more or less finished 2 layouts with this side of the kit and I still have TONS of paper and embellies left. You will be amazed! And I can't wait to see what YOU do with it!

May Sneak Peeks!!!

I know this is a little late. Most of you DEMAND your sneak peeks just a few days after the April kits arrive - some of you even want them before the April kits arrive!

I'll be heading to Cabo San Lucas on Thursday (YAY!). So, the May Add-Ons will probably be going up for sale sometime later in the day tomorrow.

May will feature K&Company Poppy Seed and Pebbles Tree House.

April Showers....

Hello all...

I am so so sorry to those of you who have been waiting eagerly since March for a new post! The April kits are JAM-PACKED and I've been very busy sending them out to all you loyal customers! For those of you not on board, there is no better time than today to join. We have some extra April kits left as well as some extra April Add-Ons. If you are wondering how some of my customers feel about the kits, let me share with you what a current subscriber wrote to me over the weekend....

I hope that's how everyone feels when they get their sussies in the mail! I just finished sending the May kits to the Design Team and I truly cannot believe how packed those are! (Sneak Peeks will be up either today or tomorrow)

In the meantime, I want to make sure all you customers who have blogs are aware of an April contest I have going on. I'm excited about this!! This is a drawing for both loyalty members and other subscribers. Scrapbook Sussies gets most of our business from word of mouth - from all of you spreading the Sussies love!! The winner will receive three Crate Paper mini kits!!!!!! And, if you're a loyalty program member, I'll make sure they don't match the fourth one you will receive already!!!! The drawing will be held on April 30th so that the free kits can be mailed with your May kit!!!
