Using Rubons

Today I'm sharing a quick and easy card using the September Kit.
Sussies kits almost always come with rubons. I used two different ones together to make this grouping of flowers.


Added the rubon sentiment and a few jewels from my stash, and all done.
For 5 points create a card using rubons. For 10 points use a Sussies kit! Be sure to post your projects in the gallery!!

Catalog Inspiration

So, this is the layout that I came up with using a catalog page for inspiration. I liked how there were three photos in the advertisement, and used that in my layout. I went to the gallery and saw some super inspiration layouts, wonderful work!!

October Add-Ons... (and full reveal)

Hello Readers!

Sometimes you're just stuck waiting on vendors. The full reveal and add-ons usually go up on the 15th of the month. In this month's case, I was busy with the Scrapbook Sussies Mountain Retreat (which was a blast, BTW). When I returned and went to photograph the kit, I realized I still was short one embellishment. It still hasn't arrived, but the show must go on.

The Add-Ons are up for sale, but the embellishment add-on is already sold out! Email me if you want to be on the waitlist for that! Here's a pic of this FABULOUS add-on....

Where do You Find Inspiration?

I wanted to share a 3 ring binder that I use for creative inspiration. It has a package of page protectors in it- and I just slide sheets from catalogs, magazines, or other sources. When I need help, I can flip through and get the creative juices flowing. Take some time this week and find new points of view- could be colors, a photo that jumps out of you, or a layout of an advertisement. Next week, I will be back with a layout using inspiration from the above pages. For 5 points create a layout letting us know your inspiration point for your layout or project. For 10 points use a Sussies kit! Be sure to post your projects in the gallery!!

Can't Believe it's Monday again!

Hope you had a great weekend! I can't believe it's already Monday! I had an AWESOME time at the Sussies scrapbook retreat in Estes Park this last weekend and probably did a record number of layouts for me! I think everyone had a very productive and fun time and I know some new friendships were formed!

I did get my October kit and I can't wait to start working with it! I need to unpack first though!

So, here was the last double-page layout I made with the September kit. I used the Fancy Pants Rusted Sun half of the kit to make this layout about a trip to see the Colorado Rapids play this summer!



I'm off to go unpack, but I guess I should issue you a challenge to earn some more points, shouldn't I? My challenge to you is this....

Create a layout lifting one of the Design Team layout titles from this past summer (June, July or August)! Like always, if you complete the challenge and link us up (please tell us the month and DT member you lifted) to your layout in the Sussies Gallery you can earn 10 points for completing the challenge! An additional 5 points will be rewarded if you use a Sussies kit!
